The SPCA and 7 other civics from the 39th Ward will host an aldermanic candidate forum on Wednesday, March 27th from 7:00 – 8:00 PM at Peterson School.

Many voters who backed Casey Smagala and Joe Duplechin are now interested in learning more about Samantha Nugent and Robert Murphy.  You too can learn more about these great candidates prior to voting on Tuesday, April 2nd.

Learn more about the event on Facebook or submit a question for the candidates here.

We hope to see you there.

Introducing the E-Neighborhood Watch

Last night at the 1711/12 beat meeting, Police Commander Pontecore agreed to work with us in using a surveillance tree.

If you have cameras on the outside of your home, or a video doorbell, you can join this list. Then, if a crime occurs near your home, police may ask if you’d be willing to share your footage. In this way, you can really assist our officers.

This is a very smart way to connect our isolated systems and create a better surveillance network over our neighborhood that is more useful to the police. We know they are overworked. Let’s help them in the ways that we can.

Please join our E-Neighborhood Watch.

39th Ward Aldermanic Forum

The Sauganash Park Community Association, along with our neighboring associations, have put together a forum for our candidates for Alderman. The forum will be moderated by Eric Zorn of the Chicago Tribune. This is a nonpartisan event.

When

Thursday, January 24, 2019 – 7:00-8:30 P.M.
Doors open at 6:30 P.M.

Where

Irish American Heritage Center
4626 N. Knox

Free parking is available.

You can submit questions to the candidates here.
A FaceBook event page has also been created, which you can visit if you’d like to share your interest with others or help promote the event.

We are looking forward to the event. We hope that you all can join us.

Bruno Cassettari Has Passed…

Dear Neighbors,

The Sauganash Park Community Association regrets to inform you that our Former Board Chairman, Former Association President, and Current Board member Bruno Cassettari has passed away.

Bruno was always generous with his time and worked hard to make Sauganash Park a better place for us to live.

He will be missed but his contributions will continue to benefit us in the future.

Funeral Arrangements are pending and will be posted here as they become available.

Rest In Peace, Bruno.
