Thursday Night Snow Alert

Snow Alert ❄️❄️❄️
Good Evening Sauganash Park!

Our Snow plowing service is on standby over the next 48 hours. Please understand we are working with a new company, and appreciate your patience as they get to our streets. Once the call is made an email blast, fb , and next door post will alert neighbors to move their cars. Remember east/west streets have historically got done first followed by north/south. They will plow curb to curb so if your car is not moved it’s likely to get blocked. We will stay in constant contact so please check your email, and fb posts regularly. Stay safe and help your neighbor if needed! #snowmageddon2018 #sauganshpark

BEGINS MONDAY 10/23
Alderman Laurino received the notice below regarding an upcoming resurfacing project in the 39th Ward on Peterson Ave. Please contact the 39th Ward Service Office with any questions relating to this project: (773) 736-5594.
“I would like to inform Alderman Laurino of an upcoming resurfacing project on West Peterson Avenue from Cicero Avenue to Lincoln Avenue. This work is part of the Chicago Department of Transportation’s Arterial Street Resurfacing – North Area Project, in the 39th Ward.
Construction is tentatively scheduled to begin on October 23, 2017, pending clearance from and coordination with existing utilities, and weather permitting. Bigane Paving Company is the general contractor for this project and Wight & Company is providing resident engineering services for the Chicago Department of Transportation.
The work will include ADA sidewalk improvements, curb and gutter removal and replacement, bus pad construction, milling and paving the existing asphalt pavement, and striping.
During construction, temporary “No Parking” signs will be periodically installed as required for each activity listed above. These temporary signs will restrict parking during working hours, while adhering to rush hour restrictions, for the completion of the work. All work on this corridor is scheduled to be completed December 31, 2017.”
