The City of Chicago has allowed trick-or-treating this year, despite the Covid-19 pandemic.
We encourage residents to follow the city-wide rules, some of which include:
1. Everyone involved should wear masks.
2. Leave your light on or post a trick-or-treaters welcome sign in your window.
3. Stay in groups of 6 or smaller.
The Sauganash Park Community Association is organizing a celebration for our neighborhood graduates. We ask that all our neighbors come outside and help us celebrate on June 14th at 1 PM.
If you have a graduate in your home, we will tie a balloon to your porch on the day of the celebration. This will indicate your graduate’s status. Just sign up here and let us know.
We will have a music truck provided by WiFi Firetruck. We will also have photography services covering the entire event provided by DejaViewsUSA. Photos will later be posted on this website.
Here is a map of the route that the truck will take on the day of the event. We hope to post a Google map showing the location of the truck on this page if we can. Check back on Sunday, June 14th between 1 and 3.
We are also offering professional photography services for graduates and their families. This unique offering is called PORchTRAITS. If you have a graduate in your home, you can request PORchTRAITS. Photos will be taken outdoors at your home. The photographer will follow CDC guidelines for social distancing. The only cost to you is a $40 or greater donation to the Greater Chicago Food Depository. After you make your donation, you are eligible for the PORchTRAITS service and can sign up here.
Active members can win gift certificates to area restaurants by decorating their homes for the holidays.
Grand Prize: $75 gift certificate to Stefani Prime Italian restaurant in Lincolnwood.
1st Prize: $50 gift certificate to the new Dakota 94 restaurant in Edgebrook.
2nd Prize: $50 Kanela Breakfast Club at one of their many locations throughout Chicago.
3rd Prizes: Two third prize winners will be awarded a $25 gift certificate to Colletti’s Italian Restaurant in Jefferson Park.
Let’s light up our neighborhood!
All are welcome to join us in this fun, family activity. There will be snacks, coffee, and hot cocoa. Help us spread cheer and share in the holiday festivities. Free gift for the first 20 kids. Don’t be late!

Glenlake and Kedvale
(Glenlake will be closed for the activities)
We will have a Halloween Costume Parade for kids and families at 1:15. We will also have bounce houses, a face painter, crafts, and goodie bags.
Children must be accompanied by an adult and pets must be leashed.
This event has been made possible by donations from Alderman Sam Nugent and our dues-paying members. Join or renew now!
The event is weather permitting, so let’s hope for no rain on our parade!

The Sauganash Park Community Association, along with our neighboring associations, have put together a forum for our candidates for Alderman. The forum will be moderated by Eric Zorn of the Chicago Tribune. This is a nonpartisan event.
